The Montecarlo Bay & Resort Hotel instals Clabermeteo:

The NEW system can be controlled and managed over the internet, from any location, using a standard browser.

Clabermeteo, the division of Claber dedicated to centralised and professional irrigation systems, has a clear mission: continuous improvement in water management through research and development and through the production of innovative and advanced water solutions, because water is a precious and finite resource, and in public park management, because green areas play a fundamental role in the urban environment and in contemporary architecture.

Clabermeteo is an internationally acclaimed name in water management, with irrigation systems operating in prestige locations like the stadiums of the Athens Olympics, in public parks in capital cities like Paris and Budapest, in modern architectural masterpieces like the new Milan Exhibition centre and IBM’s European headquarters, and in prestige green areas like Modena Golf Club and the Ferrari vineyards.

In 2006 Clabermeteo accepted a new technical challenge from another top player, the Montecarlo Bay & Resort Hotel, the latest residence in a leading international chain. The customer needed an irrigation management system for the hotel’s park and gardens, made up of 18 different sites and 108 different irrigation zones. The system also had to share the network (LAN) used by all the other building automation services including the lighting, swimming pool, and security systems.

To satisfy these needs, Clabermeteo "revolutionised" their Aquameteo IDS system by giving it the ability to operate over standard networks and with standard data protocols. In practice a "closed" system was converted into an "open" system capable of sharing cabling and communication networks with other building automation systems. The benefits in terms of operational management and reduced installation costs were clear.

The new Clabermeteo system uses a normal Ethernet LAN running standard TCP/IP:MODBUS protocol. While the new system can be controlled over the hotel’s private internal network, it can also be controlled over the Internet using a standard browser like Explorer, Mozilla or Firefox. This provides an innovative way of improving prospects for system application and management, from remote irrigation control at any time and from any place, to the effective integration of irrigation with other technical services. Thanks to Clabermeteo, effective irrigation has become an integral part of our future.
